she said she wants to try sushi next
An unsuccessful Christmas card photo-shoot led to a rash decision. We were going to lunch. Just the three of us, to a restaurant, the first time for such an adventure. We did it. It was fantastic. Jack fell asleep 2 minutes after we were seated and Grace ate like a champ. Seriously. We're talking chicken satay (= chicken on a stick, which she finds a novel, and quite tasty idea) with peanut sauce, shrimp, tofu, pad thai. All with chopsticks. She tried, and continued to eat, everything I put in front of her. We had a lovely, tasty, leisurely lunch!

Yeah! I'm so glad it worked out. This opens-up all sorts of new excursions and a wonderful respite for mommy to look forward too :-)
ReplyDeleteI hope you had leftovers. Nothing like a tasty Thai dinner that you don't have to cook. Seriously, I used to always get an extra order of Pad Thai to take home...call me lazy but a good meal for me & a can-o-spaghetti'os for the kiddos is a good end to the day. (okay, so maybe a few apple slices for them to quell my guilt.)
