Michigan Time

You know, like island time. You just kind of relax and do nothing. Such was our week in Lakeside, MI.
We rented a fantastic cottage with a screen door for slamming,

a back porch for relaxing

and celebrating "my best birthday ever",

with a huge yard for "collecting nature",

including a fire pit

for s'mores,

and a summer house (in case you needed more room).

All this, just a short drive to the local hotspots.
Ozzies for delicious frozen custard.

Redamak's for burgers.

And Drier's for the very best ham I've ever had (though she doesn't look impressed, she gobbled it up too). 

Oh, and the reason we chose the place anyway, the lovely Lake Michigan BEACH! Just a short walk (or drive when you're lazy, or when you have two kids that don't like to wear shoes).
