pre-lunch snack*

I made Brussels Cookies this morning. I don't think I have ever had the Pepperidge Farm version (I'm partial to Geneva), but the chocolate cravings photographs pulled me in. And luckily I had everything on hand (note - I ground up old fashioned oats in lieu of oat bran and used non-white whole wheat flour).

Yes, delicious and photogenic.

*Obviously, I had to eat the one orphan cookie without a sandwich-making mate, I can't feed my children untested recipes. However, I forgot the uncanny ability of my eldest to smell any trace of chocolate a person may have (privately) consumed. Therefore, each had a cookie appetizer prior to their SpagettiOs.
