dinner

$2 a pound. I swear that is what I remember my cousins telling me was the price to strive for when I helped sell their lambs each year at the 4-H livestock auction at the county fair. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe that was the price for those crazy turkeys or pretty ducks they also raised. Anyway, I would gladly purchase an entire lamb (or herd) for that price if I could eat more lamb. Because lamb chops are delicious. Not to mention lamb ribs. And leg of lamb. Yum, lollipop chopsLamb shanks...drool.

--lamb chops (used dried mint & the cast iron grill insert for my stove top this time, worked great)
--gnocchi with some homemade sauce (jar of Mom's '09 tomatoes hidden in pantry, half an onion floating around, some sugar, salt, butter, oregano, simmered down)
