A tasty cheddar beer soup, and yes, you do need the bacon on top.
See, it really is very good. It went very nicely with those homemade pretzels.
I needed an appetizer (without cheese) and remembered I still had garlic scapes in my freezer from last summer's CSA, as well as a recipe. White bean and garlic scape dip. It tasted better than I thought it would, fresh and light.
On another note, we are still enjoying our summer (in winter) weather here.
Gosh, that all looks so good. I just found a whole lot of kale that popped up in the garden from last fall's seeds. Any ideas what I can do with that?
