random food

Almond puff loaf - pretty much as I remembered it from childhood.

Apparently for the smoothest hummus, you should be peeling your chickpeas.

I didn't find that recipe to be the best, a little too tahini-heavy (or maybe it was the brand I used), but it was my first attempt at making hummus and it still tasted good on this nice little sandwich (one of the few lunch items I have in my repertoire).

Chinese pulled pork sandwiches with kale & apple slaw - didn't think it quite lived up to the all the hype in the reviews, but still good. Now I just need to figure out what to do with that big tub of miso in the fridge.

Leftover rotisserie chicken makes for a quick meal.

And my favorite of this bunch - sausage, escarole and white bean stew. Not much of a looker, but I really liked it. An easy Saturday lunch on a cold day.
