Never one to shy away from her academics, even I am quite impressed by the speed with which she is grasping this whole sounding-out and spelling thing. I mean, who picks 'elephant' as the first word they just decide to sit down, sound out and write? I didn't help her (as I was, most likely, completely oblivious to what she was doing), she showed me when she was done.
(I'm pretty sure they teach all those impossible spelling rules later.)
So I'm pretty proud, considering it's only one month (out how many hundreds?) down that formal education road!
That is absolutely fabulous! She is going to be reading in no time, and then a whole new wonderful world is going to open up :)
