library farming

We took a trip to the library today, I don't think we had been there in about six months and G wanted to see the animals again.

Luckily they were still there.

Real-world experience gave J an edge in his speedy collection of eggs (with complete disregard to the chickens).

The cow is my favorite, you can actually 'milk' it. (Well, it's water that comes out, but the whole set up is pretty ingenious. You squeeze the udders, which squirts the water into the bucket, which has a hole in the bottom to siphon the water back up, into the cow.)

Especially charming that my kids talked to the cow and patted it's side while milking.

A rain dance for the benefit of the plastic vegetables planted in the garden, perhaps? J was upset he couldn't find the watering can this time.

Not sure why more barns don't have slides down from the hayloft?

It may interest some of you (especially those who run with this type of crowd :), our library was one of ten to win the nation’s highest honor conferred on museums and libraries for service to the community.
